I spent 18 years teaching high school social studies and over 20 years selling software and managing software sales people. This all started with a volunteer trip to Kenya in 2009 where I fell in love with the people who are among the poorest people on earth. I knew I had to help them. My wife Chris and I have two adult children and two grandchildren (Collin and Lily) who are the light of our lives.

Marketing Intern
Our organization is able to offer a virtual internship opportunity for a marketing student. The primary focus for the student will be: Marketing Communications - create an integrated marketing campaign to support non-profit fundraisers and social marketing events. Strategic Social Media Marketing - Conduct an audit of our current social media presence and/or other current communication channel(s); develop and implement strategies for improving our online presence and increasing engagement; create a content calendar; creating useable social media and blog posts to help engage and support the community and the missions of our designated non-profit foundations. Outreaching - creating and implementing outreach strategies with schools and universities for fundraising. Our goal at the end of this experience is: Strategic Social Media Marketing - For the student to help us improve our online presence, reach more customers, and effectively promote our brand through compelling content that will ultimately support additional funding and communication of the non-profit(s) mission. This will be achieved through multi-media marketing, virtual social marketing events, and content from the each foundation. Other duties the student may complete could include : Content development, including social posts, blog posts, LinkedIn articles, and website copy. Help us do a better job with social media posts and with Google Ads so we can do a better job of reaching people who are likely to donate. The market of people who are likely to give is a small subset of all people. We need help defining who these people are and then help on how to reach them with our message.
