Security & Penetration Testing of Web Application

A standard practice for web based tools is to conduct what is known as penetration tests at least once a year. This is a white-hat hacking approach in which a firm is given special permission to try and break into, exploit, or otherwise attempt to break a given product via security vulnerabilities. First, we would like students to get familiar with our product. Sign up, play around with it, understand generally how it works. Second, students should spend time conducting research on state of the art pen testing technologies. They should look into common vulnerability lists such as OWASP Top 10, and common security tools such as Nmap, Burp Suitar, Nessus, and Wireshark. Third, students should have a written attack plan and present it to us so we can confirm we understand what the test will do and what might be uncovered. Fourth, students are free to attack our product as per the presented plan

BoardSpace Brand Identity and Graphic Design Do-Over

BoardSpace is looking to review and improve our brand identity and update our current logo and brand colours. It is time for refreshing our brand and connect better with our audience by standing out and being memorable. The right candidate would work to create consistent promotional branding and come up with possible new names for the company. BoardSpace App User Testing

The BoardSpace app has paying customers and is well developed. We would like to conduct user testing on our current web application. We believe that insights coming out of these experiments will help us design a better product, provide insights into how to help our customers and offer a better experience to our customers. We would like a group of students to conduct user testing scenarios on our product with a handful of current and potential customers of ours and then report the results back to us. Conducting background research on our existing web application. We will provide a walkthrough and access to the app. Identifying key areas of our current product and narrowing down which sections of the product and what scenarios should be tested with the users. Learning about various testing techniques that are currently industry standard and learning how to perform them efficiently and capture feedback well. BoardSpace Bilingual

To provide the BoardSpace website, marketing materials, guides, app etc in French to support Canada's Bilingual Policy. We currently provide our software application in English and French. Some of the translation for the application was done professionally, but some was done using Google Translate annd needs to be reviewed. Social Media Strategy Do Over

Our team is looking to take our social media presence to the next level in order to drive traffic to our pages. To do this, we need to review, update and re-create our existing social media channels into something GREAT. We currently use Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We would like to utilize Youtube more. Currently it is rather boring and we're not using Shorts. There is a mascot, BoardSpace Bill, who adds light hearted fun to the brand. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: New concepts for blog posts, social media posts, & videos. Develop new campaign ideas for the BoardSpace brand Rework & refresh existing marketing plans Researching #hashtags and keywords to determine the most relevant terms that our customers search for. Constructing a content calendar to upload social media content for the maximum possible traffic . Creating social media content using the most efficient #hashtags and keywords for our target audience.

Marketing Video Production

We already have several videos being used to promote BoardSpace. Setting ourselves apart is crucial to attracting customers. Through this project, students will script, produce and edit a video that showcases how our company provides value to our target customers. Tasks may involve: Brainstorming various ideas for the video structure and content and creating a storyboard for what the video will look like. Creating a compelling script Putting together a proposal for BoardSpace CEO, including the storyboard and script. Meeting with BoardSpace CEO to discuss the proposal and make any changes necessary. Filming and editing the final video

The primary focus for the team will be: SEO Strategy & Recommendations - Develop and implement an SEO strategy; provide content suggestions and recommendations to increase search visibility; increase our inbound traffic and optimize the customer journey; increase inbound leads.
