Students will conduct detailed financial proformas and investment analyses to evaluate various aspects of property conversion. This includes assessing acquisition costs, renovation budgets, financing options, rental income potential, and operating expenses. The primary goal is to determine key financial metrics such as cash flow, return on investment (ROI), and capitalization rates (cap rates). By applying classroom knowledge in finance and real estate, students will create a replicable framework and set of tools that TEAM can use to help investors quickly assess the viability and profitability of future property conversions. This project provides a practical opportunity for students to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios, enhancing their understanding of financial analysis in the real estate industry.
Visionz Lounge Financial Strategy and Valuation Analysis
The Visionz Lounge project aims to provide a comprehensive financial strategy and valuation analysis for a luxury corporate and community lounge in Durham Region. The primary goal is to develop a robust business valuation model that incorporates various valuation methods, including asset-based, income-based, and market comparables. Student teams will analyze different strategies for raising capital, such as equity, debt, bonds, and dividends, to determine the most effective approach for the lounge's financial growth. Additionally, the project will involve assessing the financial and strategic impact of potential partnerships and collaborations, focusing on how these alliances can enhance the overall value of Visionz Lounge. This project offers learners the opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge in finance and real estate to a real-world scenario, fostering critical thinking and strategic planning skills.
Website Development For Visionz Lounge
Our company advertises thousands of products online. We hope to update and revamp our existing website to attract more customers. We would like to work with students to develop a new website that is easy to maintain while providing an appealing interface for users. This can be achieved through common site building tools such as Wix, Webflow, and WordPress. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Researching different site-building tools and their associated advantages / disadvantages. Conducting a needs analysis to determine which platform is most suitable. Building a website, with our assistance in providing the content. Providing training on updating and maintaining the website. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Testing prototypes with customers and refining ideas with feedback.
